I've taken an older piece and reset it. It is wire wrapped in 14K gold filled wire with Hessonite Garnet briolettes. Suspended from a 14k gold filled chain connected with Hessonite links.

Blue Roses, Dichroic Art Glass Wire Wrapped Earrings
Here is today's lovely new listing for the Elegance Collection-Blue Roses, Dichroic Art Glass Wire Wrapped Earrings. A pair of of my handmade dichroic art glass cabochons in rich shades of blue and aqua. Wire wrapped into 14k gold filled frames and embellished with handmade gold wire roses. I've finished them off with matching handmade wire rose earwires.
I forgot to mention that the drawing for the giveaways will take place on November 10, 2010. The winning names will be posted here on my blog no later than November 11, 2010. (I do have jury duty November 2 thru November 15th. If for some odd reason I am tied up due to this I will draw & post the names as soon as I can!)
I'm only listing one new item per day due to the fact I watched to much Netflix and unintentionally used 75% of my monthly allowance in the first ten days of this month. (blush)

Updating Earring Prices
I spent most of today reviewing my dichroic glass earring prices. I've updated almost all of my earring prices, not including the fancier wrapped pieces.
In this process I've discovered two things. One the amount of glass used in the cabochons doesn't have a very significant impact on the overall cost of the piece. What has the biggest impact is the gold filled earwires VS the sterling silver earwires. My favorite gold filled ones (like in the picture) are nearly five times the price of the same style in sterling silver. Ouch! Also the gold filled wire I've used for wrapping is twice as much as the sterling silver wire.
As you browse my Artfire studio you will notice that the earrings done in gold have increased in price. Sterling silver earrings have gone up, down or stayed the same.

Jade Green Dichroic Glass Triangle Dangle Earrings
Here's another pair from my hoard, Jade Green Triangle Earrings! I just listed these. Jade green baroque glass over silver dichroic. I've wrapped them in 14k gold filled wire to make the green really "pop" and hung them from 14k gold filled earwires with matching green Swavorski bicones! I really love this style of earwire. What do you think of this style? (comments has been fixed)
The second picture is of the rest of the doodles from the last batch of dichroic doodles. Actually there is one left that needs to be fused onto a light colored base to show off the color better, but until I do another full fuse cycle....
I want to get another quarter sheet of silver dichroic glass in 90 COE so I can do more coral colored pieces besides wanting more of it in 96 COE....

White Dichroic Glass Triangle Necklace
Here it is, the matching pendant necklace to the last pair of earrings. Like the earrings this necklace has also been upcycled. removed the sterling silver wire wrapped bail and replaced it with this simple one in 14k gold filled wire. I then suspended it from one of my new, eighteen inch cable chokers in white to match the pendant.
I found a fellow Artfire member, Colts Groovies who sells these in her supply shop for a very reasonable price. She also has organza ribbons, ball chain and leather necklaces!

Rose Clés De Mon Coeur, Dichroic Glass Wire Wrapped Earrings
Here is the next piece in my collection, Rose Cle's De Mon Coeur. These have earned rave reviews from the men in my life. Although I didn't upcycle these I have had the cabs sitting in my hoard for a year and a half now. If I'm going to do anymore earrings I'm going to have to cut some cabs. I'm trying to keep to the colors of red, pink and white in keeping with Valentine's Day or at least a heart shape. I really don't have a lot of cabs I can upcycle for earrings.

Heart Of An Angel, Dichroic Glass Wire Wrapped Necklace
As you can see the new wire woven bail has done wonders for this little dichroic glass heart. I've strung it on this delicate ball gold filled ball chain. The addition of anything else would of detracted from it. I'm rather pleased with myself as even the bail was upcycled. Remember me complaining about the piece I was almost done with before the wire broke? Well I was able to salvage the woven part to make this bail. This also helped me to understand how to go about making more bails like this. I know it isn't a key, but don't we have to have some hearts for those keys? I settled on "Heart Of An Angel" for the name and listed it in my Artfire studio.
I am sharing a picture of the cabs I will be using in my next project. I will be wrapping them in 14K gold filled wire and turning them into little keys. Now I am just debating on how fancy I'm going to make these.

Ornament Dichroic Glass Wire Wrapped Earrings
I went to finish the last pendant that has a matching pair of finished earrings. I was almost done with it and then I broke the 20 gauge wire where it meets to make the bail. Evidently I played too much with it while getting it to fit. I have to get more 20 gauge wire before I can try again. So I apaologize for not having any new pretties to show.
OH-I think I can share the earrings! Yes, I do have a picture and here they are, my "ornament" earrings!

Tears Of Gold Dichroic Glass Wire Wrapped Earrings & Necklace
Here is the newest set of listed pretties, Tears of Gold Earrings and Necklace!
I got these listed along with the Living Flame Earrings and Necklace and the Blue Ripples Earrings and Necklace. I listed them in both my Artfire studio and my Etsy store. The links for the items are for the Artfire listings.
I am so pleased with the new bails, shapes and colors. I only hope everyone else finds them as pleasing.

Ripples & Unnamed Dichroic Glass Wire Wrapped Jewelry
Wanted to take a quick moment and share the finished pieces from today! Hope you like! The first set I plan to call "Ripples" The color is very mesmerizing and soothing. I have no clue of a name for the gold ones yet. I have all the earrings wrapped and finished from that last batch of cabs. I am still working on the matching pendants though. I have to run, it's late and I still have to pack my toolbag!

"Untitled" Dichroic Glass Wire Wrapped Necklace & Earrings
"Living Flame"
Dichroic fused glass and wire wrapped necklace and earrings.
Finally I have these finished so I may share them! I love the color in these. When I look at these pieces I'm amazed at the beauty I have created. Rich colors and fine, complex details are set off by the heavy chain, clean lines and simplicity of the design.
These pieces will definitely have a mystical tale about them and how they came to be.
As of yesterday morning my life has gotten very busy with birthdays, company, trying to get new pieces done for my upcoming show, my dad's nasty cold, paper routes etc; I apologize for not posting and I may not get time to post again until Sunday. Then I will have more new pieces to share!

Day 26 Of AEDM
Happy Thanksgiving!
Thanksgiving dinner turned out quite scrumptious. I fed us all well even if I do say so myself! I did the turkey with stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, rolls, jello fruit salad, corn, deviled eggs, cranberry-raspberry sauce and black olives. I don't like sweet potatoes/yams and so I don't make them. It is hard to cook something well when you don't like it. I keep telling others if they want them to bring them! My aunt brought a pumkin pie, whipping cream and a cherry cheesecake (pie). Her cherry cheesecake is my favorite. I remembered how to make the whip cream too.
Anyway enough with the food talk and on to my piece for the Art Every Day Month challenge. I made another cabochon trio necklace using chestnut brown dichroic doodle cabs, gold filled wire, beads and chain. I even managed to get it listed in my Artfire studio already. I have decided to call it "Chestnut Trio"
I do hope you will take a moment and check out my studio! I am offering free shipping for the holidays and have many different pretties who are looking for a new home!

Day 22 Of The AEDM Challenge
I knew what I wanted to make today, but it took me almost two hours to find the correct combination of beads to do it. For a while I thought I was going to have to go to the bead store to get the right shade of beads. Then I noticed the gold ones over there in the box and the light bulb went on!
I think I will name this one "Purple Passion". The dichroic glass in this piece is the exact shade of purple as the crystal bead I used on the top of the bail. I guarantee that the rich blue-violet hue is absolutely stunning.
I received an order for one of my adjustable rings today. I went to the fairgrounds to check out this "big" three day holiday show. I chuckled to myself as I went past the booth of a couple I know who do embroidered dog collars, harness vest etc; Evidently they had split up yesterday so they could do both the show at the Senior Center and this one. As he was on his phone I didn't want to interrupt and I didn't see his wife either. Right next to this booth was my biggest "competitors". They are also friends and former students. My dad and I taught them the basics of fusing. As we were visiting the wife stopped in. She saw the "Heather" ring and fell in love! She was purchasing a pendant from my friends. She decided she wanted it to match the pendant she was getting. So my friend is going to provide me with the cab and I will make it into a ring.

Day 16 Of AEDM Challenge
This triangle one with it's angles was a lot more challenging than working with the round ones. With practice I will get better. I'm so used to working with finer wire than what I am using in these rings.
I will figure out a name tomorrow for this one and then get it listed in my Artfire studio. If you have an idea for a name then please leave me a comment!

Adjustable Wire Wrapped Dichroic Glass Ring
It doesn't seem like I've done much of anything lately. Today I listed this adjustable wire wrapped ring in 14K gold filled wire. I listed it as a custom listing because I will make it in any of my stock colors. Now I just have to make a color chart to add onto the listing. I plan to make one in sterling silver to list too.
I also went to my favorite local beadstore for one of their two annual wholesale bead shows. There I found all these lovely little crystal bead rondelles. I have some neat plans for these. I hope the finished products will be liked.
I am really trying to come up with some cute things that I can sell cheaply. I have taken to eliminating the time it took to make something out of my pricing code as my stuff is well liked, greatly admired and almost impossible to sell even if I sell it at cost! I really wish I knew what I'm doing wrong, right or not doing... If it's me or what. And maybe I'm just starting to have a pity party. So just in case I will bid you Adieu and find something to take my mind off the problem.
