"Five Little Windows, All In A Row..."

Five little window, all in a row.....Just waiting to go home with the big one! These turned out so pretty. It's amazing how a bit of colored glass, some bevels and a classic background glass (like the glue chip used here) almost always seems to turn out so amazingly beautiful and classy!

These six panels (the one from my previous post) have been picked up by their proud new owners and will be heading to South Carolina next week. The owners are pleased and happy and already trying to figure out how to fill three windows that are high up in the home. The five small panels will be set into an existing five panel, tall narrow sidelight type window and the big one will be only a few feet away at the bottom of a stairway.

Two More Pairs Of Earrings!

I'm late tonight. Tonight was girls night out. I had a good time and stayed out later than normal. As I was sitting down to get ready for bed I realized that I hadn't blogged yet! Can't have that when I have these pretties to share.

I listed these nummy Aqua Blue Drops & the Red Dichroic Dangles in my Artfire studio today. It feels so nice to be getting things stocked up for summer. I have so many yet to photograph, list and share with you. I have twelve pairs waiting, lol!

Red Dichroic Glass Drop Earrings

I finally am rested up enough that I had the energy to have a photo shoot with the nine pairs of earrings I have finished. I will be listing one pair a day. I am starting with this pair of drop dangle earrings in red. I have these beauties listed in my Arfire studio and they are ready for a loving home! I will be holding off on the majority of the sterling silver wrapped earrings while I wait for my sterling silver earwires to arrive. Hopefully they will be here in a few days.

I am concentrating on stocking up on earrings for the show season. I also think I will be working on re-pricing similarly listed styles. Yes they are worth what I am asking. But in this economy I would much rather be reasonable and sell more than being a bit higher and selling less.
I also have a bunch of small pendant cabochons picked out that I will be doing a simple wire wrapped bail on. These will also be lower priced than my fancier wire woven bail pieces.

Red Sweetheart Dichroic Glass Pendant

Despite all I have had to do today and yet to do, I managed to squeeze enough time to get this pendant finished. I tried yesterday, but my hands just weren't working well enough so I decided to wait and try again today. Here it is, my Red Sweetheart Pendant! Another one of those cabs that I was working on last week all finished in sterling silver. Hope you like!

Fire Polishing!

I cut out all the designs I did in Spectrum's 96 line. The others that I did in Bullseye 90 are cloudy/slightly divitrified. I will be etching the tops of them, applying a divitrification solution and then firing them. Then I will finish them. As for these I will be able to start wrapping them tomorrow!

Key Of Love, Dichroic Fused Glass Necklace

Here it is, or a least a sneak peek anyway. I am seriously considering darkening this piece to give an antiqued, romantic look. I haven't tried this before as I usually prefer the appearance of the silver to be bright and shining. What do you think? Please leave me a comment.

"Untitled" Dichroic Glass Wire Wrapped Necklace & Earrings

"Living Flame"
Dichroic fused glass and wire wrapped necklace and earrings.

Finally I have these finished so I may share them! I love the color in these. When I look at these pieces I'm amazed at the beauty I have created. Rich colors and fine, complex details are set off by the heavy chain, clean lines and simplicity of the design.

These pieces will definitely have a mystical tale about them and how they came to be.

As of yesterday morning my life has gotten very busy with birthdays, company, trying to get new pieces done for my upcoming show, my dad's nasty cold, paper routes etc; I apologize for not posting and I may not get time to post again until Sunday. Then I will have more new pieces to share!

Day 3 of AEDM Challenge

Today's challenge piece for me was a nugget of tumbled, polished turquoise. I friend of a friend commissioned me to wire wrap it so she could wear it as a pendant. I did manage to get it wrapped in sterling silver. I'm not real happy with the bail. As I'm out of time and have wasted over three feet of wire in four attempts to wrap the thing I've decided I'm done. I have learned that I don't like wrapping irregular, lumpy, bumpy objects and will never take on a commission like this again. I don't feel I did justice to the stone.

As I'm not about to take a picture of my failure I decided to share my newly listed Black Cherry Ripple ring! An adjustable wire wrapped dichroic glass cabochon done in sterling silver. I also listed my necklace and pendant from day one and day two.
